The brigade participates in many community events through-out the year. It gives us a chance to meet those that support us as well as saying thank you.

Recent Activities:

Helping out at the Ipswich Children's Hospital Foundation Fun Day.

On a beautiful winter's morning in July, hundreds of runners entered the Park to Park Challenge in Limestone Parklands to support the Ipswich Children's Hospital Foundation. And where there is a fun day like this to help the kids in the community; you'll find Blazer the Bear and his cheer leading squad from Ripley Valley Rural Fire Brigade. As part of the festivities; there was a mascot race and so the challenge was set; just how fast can a Koala Bear run...

Well, Blazer gave it a good go, second isn't too bad; especially considering the winner was wearing his underpants on the outside of his costume. At least the Ripley Valley Rural Fire Brigade Cheer Squad was there for moral support.

Winners are grinners.

Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the day possible and to the kids who came along and had fun.
