On
Friday 22nd January; our very own John Bowles was awarded an Australia
Day Achievement Medallion for his considerable efforts to the Rural
Fire Service over many years via Ripley Valley Rural Fire Brigade.
Congratulations
John!


During
a recent brigade meeting, we set a record number. Not in attendance
but in the number of training certificates that John was to hand out.
Congratulations to everyone.

Members have put in enormous time over the past few months training
for the SE regional Fire Fighting Championships. To have a look at their

Well done guys, you made us all proud. A special thanks to Amy for her
coordination efforts.

The
March marathon meeting set a record or two. The highlight was the awards
given out to of several members for their achievements.

Steve
Phillips was awarded his national Medal with clasp for 25 years service
to the community having served in the Army, SES and Rural Fire Service.
Tony
and young Matt received their Bushmaster helmets on completing their
FM1 training.
Gary
the Chucka and Steve also received certificates for training.

the Brigade welcomed our newest Officer, Matt Mulroney.
Well the Brigade
said farewell to Danny at the January meeting. He is off to the north
coast to start a new career but we hope to see him from time to time.


All
the best Danny and thank you for all of your efforts with the Brigade
over many years. You've been a great firefighter, Second Officer and
all round mentor.
