A Part of the Community - Ipswich Festival

Each year around April or May, the Brigade participates in the Ipswich Festival Grand Parade. It is a great chance to have fun with the community and show off the spirit of the Rural Fire Service. And this year was no exception.

The team gathered at Darling Street headed the opposite direction to previous years. Unfortunately Blazer the Bear was absent this year.

After the parade, Ipswich CBD became a party.

The team hit the streets for the party.

You can always tell Rural Firefighters; they head straight for the smoke...

Here is some photos from previous years.

The team gathered on Darling Street getting ready for the parade in 2011.

No this is not road kill, it's a demonstration of Get Down Low and Go Go Go!

The RFS 'Lil Squirt' got another run. Chucka brings a smile to the crowd.

Blazer once again wowed all of the kids.

Everyone wanted a photo with Blazer.

And Blazer didn't hide when the hard work really started. A great day had by all, thanks to those who came along.

Getting ready for the parade.

Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale pops in for a chat.

Meet 'Blazer the Bear'.

Meeting the People of Ipswich.

Get down Low and Go Go Go

Always great to see the fun in the kids eyes.
