Protecting the Community - Ravensbourne Strike Team - September 2009

The Brigade was asked to participate in a strike team to Ravensbourne, a country area between Gatton and Crows Nest in September along with units from other Ipswich Group RFB's. Both RV51 and RV52 attended. A bushfire had been burning for some days in remote bushland but was contained and local crews were exhausted and so the mission was to monitor the containment lines.

Unfortunately there was no live fire but this is what the bush around Ravensbourne looks like...
