Protecting the Community - Middle Road, Purga Fire - July 2006
Just as the brigade was in the middle of it's monthly training on Sunday afternoon, 2nd July, a call came out about a grass fire in Purga threatening houses. Flinders Peak were on scene as well as a number of urban units. So in response, all Ripley Valley units responded including for the first time RV52.
