Protecting the Community - Mundoolun September 2009

The Brigade was asked to provide two night shift crews on Tuesday 29th September to a fire at Mundoolun in the Beaudesert area as part of a campaign fire which had been burning for several days in rough country. The task was mainly to monitor and black out edges. It was also a good refresher in chainsaws as many trees needed to be felled to make the tracks safe.

Nothing glamorous about blacking out but it comes with the job.
