Protecting the Community - Support following Severe Storms and Flooding around Ipswich

Whilst away helping the SES and residents at The Gap following earlier severe storms, another drenching storm went through the areas between Hattonvale and Ipswich causing grief and damage through flash floods. The Brigade contingent returned to Ipswich on the Thursday morning and were joined by more helping hands. Initially tasked to fill sandbags at SES central in Ipswich, the crew were then sent out to help in any way they could.

 

Whilst sand bagging isn't our best skill set; it was just the start of another long day.
