On a windy afternoon on July 5th, the Brigade was activated to a fire in bushland adjacent to New Chum near Collingwood Park to assist 643A. RV52 and RV41 responded but no sooner had they arrived when RV52 was asked to divert to a new fire threatening houses at Purga.
The following photos were taken by Sarah Harvey from the Queensland Times Newspaper and we thank the paper for them.
Rural Crews from around Ipswich attended as did 645A.
Property protection was required.
Crews from Ripley Valley RFB and Pine Mountain RFB teamed up.
