Protecting the Community - Mt Crosby January 2010
Mid afternoon during Sunday training on 17 January 2010, a call was received to assist Pine Mountain RFB with a fire on Lake Manchester Road at Mount Crosby. Gary, Steve P and Matt M responded in Ripley Valley 51 and were backed up about an hour later by Ripley Valley 52 crewed by John B, Neil I and Tony H.
Brendan (IC) from Pine Mountain RFB with Steve P pointing the way for the crews.
As green as it is there is still potential for fire.
Ripley Valley 51 in the thick growth assisting with the backburning operations.
