Centenary
Highway Extension Opening
In
June 2009, the Centenary Highway extension from Springfield through
Ripley Valley and onto Yamanto was officially opened. This major infrastructure
project will certainly change the landscape of Ripley Valley for ever
and Members of the Brigade were there for the celebrations. Official
dignitaries including the Premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh and Ipswich
Mayor, Paul Pisasale were on hand to cut the ribbon. However all of
the children's eyes were on Blazer The Bear. A selection of photos below
high-light some of the fun of the day.
